It is a requirement for all GPs in training applying for Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners to hold a valid qualifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) courses.
RACGP BLS requirements
- A BLS course completed within the 12 months prior to commencing General Practice Term 1 (GPT1).
- A BLS course completed within the 12 months prior to applying for Fellowship.
RACGP ALS requirements
- It is a college requirement to undertake ALS training within the four years prior to applying for Fellowship.
