Every six months you will need to re-enrol on GPRime. During re-enrolment, you will be asked to advise GP Synergy of your training term plans for the upcoming six-month term, and an indication of your training intentions for the remainder of your training.
All registrars are required to re-enrol every six months regardless of whether you are working in a hospital-based term, general practice term, extended skills term, advanced skills term or are on leave.
You will be prompted via email when it is time to re-enrol. It is important to re-enrol by the due date or you may risk missing out on your preferences for training locations and practices. Delay in completing re-enrolment may also impact on your training time.
Important points about re-enrolment
- For those registrars currently in a general practice time, to be eligible to re-enrol:
- practice logs must be up to date for previous semester and current
- completed at least one assessment of the placement for the preceding general practice term (if applicable).
- You need to consider how you will fulfil the Training Location Obligation (TLO) for your subregion and RACGP diversity of practice. If seeking an exemption from the training location obligation for your subregion we encourage you to contact your medical educator to discuss the policy and process. Please note the necessary application and supporting evidence must be submitted to your training coordinator by the due date for consideration.
For more information, including key dates for re-enrolment and term placement, and TLO requirements for each training subregion see Term Placement Information for Registrars and the GP Synergy Training Location Obligations Policy.
Please contact your local training coordinator if you require assistance at any time.
